How to Make a Bed the Right Way

how to make a bed

Strip the bed

Strip the bed every morning to help keep it fresh. This means removing all the sheets, the duvet or comforter, the pillows, and anything else on top.

Start by taking off the duvet cover. Set it aside or place it in the laundry hamper. Then remove the top sheet. Again, set it aside or place it in the hamper. Next, take off the fitted sheet. This is the sheet that is fitted to the mattress and has elastic all the way around. You may need to fight a little to get it off, but it will eventually come loose. Set the fitted sheet aside.

Now you should see the mattress pad, which is a flat sheet that is quilted or padded. Remove this and set it aside as well. You may also see a bed skirt, which is a decorative piece of fabric that hangs down from the top of the mattress to the floor. Remove this as well.

At the foot of the bed, you should see the box spring. This is what the mattress sits on top of. You do not need to remove the box spring, but you may want to vacuum it off to remove any dust or debris.

Finally, take a look at the pillows. You may want to remove the pillowcases and wash them, or you may just want to set them aside. In any case, remove all the pillows from the bed.

Now that the bed is completely stripped, you can start making it again.

Wash all bedding

“Wash all bedding”

If you want your bed to be truly clean, you need to wash all of the bedding. This includes the sheets, pillowcases, blankets, and comforter. You can wash these items in the washing machine, using hot water and laundry detergent. Just be sure to read the care labels first.

If you have a throw blanket, you may want to wash it separately by hand. Sleeping pillows can also be washed in the machine, but they may need to be washed on a delicate cycle.

Once all of the bedding is clean, it’s time to make the bed. Start by putting on clean sheets. Make sure the fitted sheet is pulled taut and that the corners are tucked in nicely (this is known as making hospital corners).

Next, add the blankets and comforter. Once again, take care to tuck in the corners and smooth out any wrinkles. Finally, add the pillows. Make sure the email address is at the top of the bed and that the side of the bed is neat and tidy.

Now your bed is clean and ready for a good night’s sleep. Sweet dreams!

Vacuum the mattress

If you want to know how to make a bed, the first step is to vacuum the mattress. This will help remove any dust or debris that might be on the surface of the mattress. Be sure to use a vacuum with a good suction to get the best results.

Next, you need to choose the right sheets. The type of sheets you use will depend on the size of your bed and the type of mattress you have. If you have a king-size bed, you’ll need to use king-size sheets. And if you have a memory foam mattress, you’ll need to use sheets that are specifically designed for memory foam mattresses.

Once you’ve chosen the right sheets, it’s time to start making your bed. To do this, you’ll need to gather the corners of the top sheet and tuck them under the mattress. Then, you’ll need to smooth out the sheet so that it’s flat.

After the top sheet is in place, you’ll need to add a fitted sheet. To do this, you’ll need to put the fitted sheet over the mattress and then tuck it under the mattress. Once the fitted sheet is in place, you’ll need to smooth it out so that it’s flat.

The last step in making your bed is to add a duvet or comforter. To do this, you’ll need to put the duvet or comforter over the top sheet and then tuck it under the mattress. Once the duvet or comforter is in place, you’ll need to smooth it out so that it’s flat.
